Privacy policy
Atrium is a flat-hunting assistant you talk to on WhatsApp. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
Atrium is operated by Notte Labs. For anything about your data, write to hello@heyatrium.app or simply message Atrium on WhatsApp.
What we collect
- Your phone number and WhatsApp profile name. They arrive with your first message and are how we recognise you afterwards. There is no account, password or email on our side.
- Your messages to Atrium. Text, voice notes and, once your search is active, photos and documents you choose to send. Voice notes are transcribed so Atrium can read them.
- Your search brief. What you are looking for: rooms, budget, areas, move-in date, whether you are in Switzerland, whether Atrium may attend viewings for you, pets, and any notes you add.
- Your application dossier, only if you provide it. Documents such as an ID or permit, payslips, an employer reference or a debt collection register extract (Betreibungsauszug), which Swiss landlords require with an application.
- Activity records. Which listings Atrium showed you, which viewings it booked, which applications it sent, and technical logs needed to run the service.
Why we use it
- To understand what you want and find flats that match.
- To contact property managers, book viewings and send applications, each time only after you have said yes.
- To keep one continuous conversation with you and remember your brief between messages.
- To run the beta waitlist and decide when your spot opens.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your messages or documents to advertise to you.
Who sees it
- Property managers and landlords you approve. Your dossier goes only to the managers of flats you have asked Atrium to apply for, and only after you confirm. Nothing is sent on your behalf without a yes from you in the chat.
- WhatsApp (Meta). Your messages travel through WhatsApp's business platform. Meta's handling of them is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
- Our service providers. Atrium runs on Notte's infrastructure and uses hosting, database, speech-to-text and AI language model providers to operate. They process data only to provide the service to us and are bound by contracts to protect it.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
AI processing
Atrium uses AI language models to understand your messages and to draft its replies and the messages it sends to property managers. Your conversation and brief are sent to those models for that purpose. They are not used to train the models.
How long we keep it
- Your conversation and brief: for as long as you use Atrium, then up to 12 months so a returning search can pick up where it left off.
- Dossier documents: for as long as you have an active search, then deleted within 90 days unless you ask sooner.
- Technical logs: up to 90 days.
Deleting your data
Send Atrium the message delete my data, or email hello@heyatrium.app. We confirm in the chat and remove your conversation, brief, documents and account within 30 days, apart from what we must keep to meet a legal obligation. Anything already shared with a property manager at your request stays with that manager, under their own rules.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, restrict how we use it, or object to a use. If you are in Switzerland or the European Union, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. Write to us first and we will sort it out directly where we can.
Where the data lives
Our servers and providers are located in the European Union, Switzerland and the United States. Where data leaves Switzerland or the EU, we rely on the safeguards recognised by Swiss and EU law, such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
Atrium is for adults looking for a home. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters to you, Atrium will tell you in the chat before the change applies. The date at the top is always the current version.
